Grosse Pointe North Jazz Band
scores highest overall at Cedar Point
Congratulations to the members of the Grosse Pointe North Jazz Band for their outstanding performance this past weekend at the Music in the Parks Festival held at Cedar Point. They were awarded a "superior" rating from the judges along with the highest overall score of the entire band festival. Charlie Miller was awarded the "Most Outstanding Soloist" Award for his amazing trumpet solos in "Li'l Darlin'," and "Ja-Da." The North band, along with their counterparts at South, open the Music on the Plaza series in the Village June 9, starting at 7 p.m.
