Beware of flying pancakes

Sarah Ashkar of Grosse Pointe, above, prepares to catch a pancake that had been flipped to her at a pancake pajama party at Marie School on Friday (Jan. 8). Chef Trevor Muir of Chris Cakes of Michigan,

below, demonstrates his unusual method of serving. The PTO-sponsored party was a fundraiser for the fourth grade class, which is using the money to offset the cost of going to Camp Howell as fifth graders. The fundraiser was attended by more than 350 people. There was no report of how many flapjacks hit the floor.
