Racing for Kids cuts check to Beaumont

Last fall's Racing for Kids event on the Hill raised $10,000 to benefit the Shery L. and David B. Cotton, M.D. Family Birth Center at Beaumont Hospital in the City. And you know what happens next? Everybody involved gets their picture taken with a very big check. Above, from left to right: Mary Wells, president, The Hill Association; Sean Cotton, vice president and general counsel, Health Plan of

Michigan, Inc.; Jon Cotton, vice president of finance, Health Plan of Michigan, Inc.; Tom Buhl, Racing for Kids Grand Prix co-chair; Shery L. Cotton, chief operating officer, Health Plan of Michigan, Inc.; Ed Russell, Racing for Kids Grand Prix co-chair; Anne McCarren, M.D., chief, OB/GYN, Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe; Pat Wright, executive director, Racing for Kids and Donna Hoban, M.D., senior vice president and director of medical services, Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe. Racing for Kids is a children's charity founded in 1989, and has raised more than $5 million for local children's hospitals. The donated funds are a result of the auction held at the Racing for Kids annual charity street festival on the Hill in September. Congratulations to all.
