Grosse Pointe City celebrates its park,
better than ever after a century

Neff Park's centennial was celebrated most avidly by people who weren't even born when it turned 90. But parks are built for children, and so children were the centerpiece of the party last night in Grosse Pointe City's lakefront playground.

A bike/wagon/stroller decorating activity was followed by a parade and judging, along with music, food and a cake. A commemorative tree was planted afterward. With any luck, it'll be there for the bicentennial. Photos by Larry Peplin.
