We’re back.

I’m back, anyway. GrossePointeToday.com lived, died, lived again, died again and now stands before you as 3.0. We’re no longer a news site (except when we are). No longer just a blog (except when it is). More a mashup of the two, presented as a no-sweat, one-stop shop for news and chatter about this other Eden, our leafy little paradise that sometimes smells a little like goose poop and fish flies.

Have news to spread? Email a press release or link. This is just me running things now, so I will appreciate the help with content. I’ll post links to news about the Pointes elsewhere, and we’ll have comments too, if you all care to discuss. Which I know you will.

The site will change over time, and who knows? It may slip beneath the waves again. But for now? Let’s give it another run. It was fun last time. It can be fun again.

I would love to have another “Royal Oak” type area near or in the GP! Royal Oak is vibrant and alive! We barely register a heartbeat. Where do many of our 20 somethings go after they complete their educations? Royal Oak, Chicago or anywhere but here. We have very little to offer as far as shopping, nightlife or even restaurants. We are often referred to as “The Bubble” because there is rarely change and not much to do. It would be nice to be a destination city/community . We shouldn’t have to drive miles to go to a nice mall or catch a new movie .

Great….you are back….How about the empty available, used-to-be, Borders store on Kercheval? What type of venue would help out the Village and the people in the area? The city should put out a survey asking that question.
