Cards for a cause

The Beaumont Assistance League, Group IV, hosted its annual card party fund raiser Oct. 8 at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. More than 100 women enjoyed lunch, followed by an afternoon of card-playing. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe. The Beaumont Assistance League, founded in 1948, is comprised of 450 local women who raise funds for the hospital through gift shop sales; garage, book and uniform sales; and hosting small dinner parties in their homes.
