Grosse Pointe War Memorial concerts
starts Wednesday with a hometown act
The Grosse Pointe War Memorial's summer concert series kicks off this week and runs for four consecutive Wednesday evenings.
This Wednesday (July 14) the program welcomes back Park resident and WDIV-TV anchor Devin Scillian with his band Arizona Son.
Upcoming weeks will feature:
- July 21, the Boat Club, a Beatles tribute band
- July 28, the Sun Messengers, presenting classic rock and Motown
- August 4, Air Margaritaville, a Jimmy Buffett tribute show
These events are designed to be family-friendly and economical. Tickets are $8 per person, with children under 10 admitted free with a paying adult, and additional children at $4 each. Burger or bratwurst combos are $5, hot dog combos $4. Guests should bring a blanket or lawn chair, and may bring their own picnics, if desired. War Memorial grounds open at 6 p.m., with concerts starting at 7:30 p.m.
