Choreographer to premiere new dance
at the Grosse Pointe Academy

Choreographer and Grosse Pointe Academy dance instructor Denise Szykula will debut the dance “When I First Heard About … ” at the Academy on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 22 at 2 p.m.

Also debuting will be Yvonne Maes’s “Energy Imprint” and Lou Paquette’s “Strange Fruit.” An old favorite, “Trairsicals,” will also be presented. Performing the dances will be Yvonne Maes, Lou Paquette, Michelle Reis, Kayt MacMaster and Leslie McCurdy. Tickets for the informal concert are $10 and may be purchased at the door or in advance at Do, the hair salon at 15229 Kercheval, 313-822-8080.
