AAUW sets dates for used book sale
at Woods Community Center

The Grosse Pointe branch of the American Association of University Women will conduct its 48th Annual Used Book Sale September 15-18 at the Grosse Pointe Woods Community Center, 20025 Mack Plaza between Moross and Vernier.  

The sale will include paperback and hardcover fiction, nonfiction, large-print books, CDs, DVDs and videos. Hours are 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; 9:30 a.m.-noon on Saturday.  All items will be marked down to half price on Friday, and Saturday morning will feature an $8-per-bag sale.  Co-chairs are Ellen Chapin and Cheri Swarthout, both from the City of Grosse Pointe. The Grosse Pointe branch of AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research. Sale proceeds help to fund these efforts.
