This crew did a great job replacing our old picket fence. The pickets were an unusual dimension and had to match another exisiting fence. The pickets were all made by All Pointes and the fence was up in a day. All in all an excellent job.
I originally contacted Gary for a quote to add cellulose insulation to my attic. He was professional, didn't assume anything and performed a physical inspection. He was also very informative and offered a good deal of suggestions for other things (in addition to the insulation) that I could do myself to help reduce the cost of heating my home.
He won the job. He and his help were professional, courteous, and did a terrific job cleaning up after themselves.
My wife and I are now considering adding insulation to the north and west walls of our house as well as to all of the walls on our back room. Needless to say, Gary is now our first choice of insulation contractors.
Chip Gibson grew up in Grosse Pointe and has been painting exteriors and interiors of Grosse Pointers' homes for more than 25 years. He is prompt, personable, reliable, trustworthy and his prices are fair. His work and that of his employees is impeccable. When I ask Chip to do a painting job, I know it will be done right. I know he will clean up afterward. He's well known around the Pointes by the white truck that has his name on the side. He has completed painting and plastering jobs in my house several times and I'll call him again.
Frank Pirello has already done a full kitchen and home remodel for me, and we are about to have him start on a new kitchen in our present home. He is as local as one can get, with children in the GP Schools and a home that I guarantee you have driven past many times on a street within walking distance to the Village. This accessibility has been very important in Frank's ability to be on top of his projects. He has always been there for follow ups, and I guarantee that you may well end up considering him a friend as well as an excellent remodeling contractor. He's a trustworthy, creative, and hardworking guy. Have no fear, he's a good one.
We first heard of the Kearns Brothers from the Detroit News columnist Glen Haege, who raved about the Michigan-made windows available from this company. We were very pleased with the first set of "Restoration Series by Sunrise" windows that their installers Bob and John Beveridge put in for us a year ago. Last month (Nov. 2010) we had them back to replace seven more old windows, completing our entire first floor. These are not the cheapest windows you will find out there, but are very fairly priced for the quality, which is absolutely over-the-top. Our 1960 home has never been this comfortable before, and I attribute it to the Sunrise windows and expert installation. Bob and John (they're brothers) were impeccably neat and clean and even built a platform to protect our hostas outside one of the windows during installation. This is a first-class family-owned business, and I would not hesitate to check with them for any kind of home improvement, especially for windows.
P&A did our bathroom and did a beautiful job- highly recommend
Pete Casinelli has been my "go-to" contractor for 10 years. His most notable job was a total kitchen renovation that gave me the resources of a large kitchen in a small space and he had great ideas for the finishing details. He is extremely conscientious and closely monitors his employees and subcontractors.

Ray at Prima Floors is the best. So good, in fact, we have hired him twice. We had him refinish the floors on our second floor last year and had him back to complete the first floor this summer. Like a lot of GP houses, our's has plenty of "character" and Ray was able to repair a number of issues that blend in seamlessly.
He and his crew are meticulous about keeping dust contained to the work site and cleaning up after themselves. His rates are reasonable and he sticks to his schedule.
I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again!
Shelley Wagner is the owner of Set the Stage a company created to help sellers stage their home for a successful sale.
Shelley was the first licensed professional Stager in the state of Michigan. She currently holds the honor of "Master Stager" within the home stager's association.
Shelley has helped me sell numerous homes for my seller clients. Her staging of the homes results in quicker sales and a higher price, a pretty good combination, eh?
I've recommended Shelley several times through out the years and will continue to do so.
She's a winner!
Sincerely,
Kevin Higgins
