We highly recommend Home Instead Senior Care.  We have used their services for both short-term care (afternoon/over night) and long-term care for our elderly aunt.  Each person they sent to help was reliable, trustworthy, personable, and hard-working.  Home Instead Senior Care genuinely cares for their clients and is a top-notch company to work with.

Fantastic

Sunrise on Vernier is an Assisted Living specialty community which cares for residents with all levels of Alzheimer's and Dementia. The community is licensed through the State of Michigan under the Home for the Aged. The community has three (3) neighborhoods to accommodate a variety of residents' needs and to ensure continuity of care. They provide a homelike setting for families and residents with emphasis on routine and structure. This allows residents to maintain dignity and self esteem as they age in place.
Residents are cared for under the supervision of nurses, a resident care coordinator and trained care managers for each neighborhood. If residents are not able to get to their physicians, there are (2) board-certified geriatric internal medicine physicians who come to the community and see residents as one of their own patients. In addition, a board-certified geri- psychiatrist works with the nurses to treat the various symptoms caused by the disease.
Home care services can be coordinated to provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and hospice services if desired. All professional services are coordinated by the Wellness office with the physician and are reimbursed by Medicare.
Since the community is small (50 residents), staff and residents with their families are able to develop a personal relationship. I am very comfortable referring to this community due to their level of care and the care of the staff. They can handle situations of crisis as well as working with families for future plans
