Poupard Elementary School at a glance

Charles A. Poupard Elementary first opened its doors in 1951 to 275 students. It has the distinction of being the only school in the Grosse Pointe Public Schools to be located outside the municipalities. as teacher gets proposal in school

It wasn't part of the lesson plan, but when Christy Heugh's boyfriend walked into her Poupard Elementary third-grade classroom near the end of the school day last Friday (March 11) with a bunch of flowers in one hand and a ring box in the other, of course the economics lesson came to a halt.
